Discover the traditional art of Indian Block Printing at an Immersive workshop with a truly special setting and story

Set in a stunning Grade II listed building over 200 yrs old, this workshop takes place at the historic Red House Glass Cone in the heart of the Stourbridge Glass Quarter in the Black Country. One of the only four glass cones in the UK, its a beautiful and atmospheric backdrop for exploring this rich Indian craft.

During the workshop you'll:

• Learn about the heritage and techniques of the traditional Indian block printing
• Experiment with colour, pattern and design
• Create your own unique printed textiles using our collection of skilfully hand-carved wooden printing blocks, made especially for us by Indian craftsman

You'll be able to print up to three items from a selection that may include Tea towels *  Aprons * Napkins * Table runners Tote bags  Cushion covers * Draw string bags * 

No previous experience needed - Just bring your curiosity and creativity. Enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, connect with other creatives and leave feeling uplifted, inspired and proud of your one-of-a -kind pieces.  

What to expect

• A demonstration of the Indian block printing process
• Time to practice the technique, build confidence and play with layouts and colours
• Guidance as you choose your blocks and develop your own patterns
• Space to share ideas be inspired by others and celebrate everyones unique designs

All materials are included in the price. Please bring an apron or wear clothing you don't mind getting a splash of paint on.
